Response

NECEP is the coordinating agency for the Northern New England Metropolitan Medical Response System (NNE MMRS) which includes Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

NECEP facilitates the tri-state response for significant emergencies and leverages the technical expertise of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth College to support emergency response efforts.

Through a Center for Disease Control Pandemic Flu Preparedness grant, NECEP coordinated regional emergency response efforts using the New Hampshire All-Health Hazard Regions (AHHR).

NECEP directed and provided logistical support in January 2010 when Dartmouth College responded to the Haitian earthquake by deploying teams of medical professionals to the most affected areas. NECEP was instrumental in Dartmouth College adopting an Incident Command System (ICS) to coordinate response efforts.
