Resource Requirements Allocation Model
The RRAM models are tools to assist in planning for and responding to an influenza pandemic. It is based on the Regional Response System (RRS) and its key component, the Modular Emergency Medical System (MEMS). The model provides plausible estimates of casualties (ill people) and associated response resources needed to cope with the casualties. After entering scenario variables, planners can see projections of the types and numbers of casualties and the requirements for response resources during each day of the pandemic.
Planners can then compare required to available resources and identify shortfalls.
The RRAM Desktop model is a stand alone program designed for ease of use. The RRAM1 model utilizes Microsoft Excel, which allows the user to modify the model if desired. Both models should give the same answers.
